Luxford's Mission    
To connect community, home, and school in providing a safe, caring, and educationally stimulating environment in which each student will be challenged to become a productive and responsible citizen of the world.   

• Every child is extremely valuable and has something to offer. 
• Children come from many different environments and are a product of   their environment- always be positive with each child. 
• Children come to us with a wealth of experiences, which we can build on to create learners who are adaptable to change and can transfer skills.
• We need high expectations for our children that should be balanced with sensitivity.
• Education is a shared responsibility (school/family/community) with no set limitations.
• School should be a motivational, safe, and secure environment where children are inspired to learn and teachers can teach. 
• We need to educate children first through strengths rather than weaknesses with thoughts to their future and the world in which they will  live.
• Children can be resilient and need not be at risk.
